Ammado:Fostering charity worldwide with a one-stop donation point

DUBLIN-BASED SOFTWARE company Ammado has developed an application that allows users to donate to charities or other not-for-profit organisations at the touch of a button. The software can handle 75 currencies and 12 languages, allows for once-off and recurring donations and can cope with 30 global payment methods.It’s a one-stop donation point for not-for-profit organisations.

Ammado has had direct donation technology in place for the past three years and has been offering voucher redemption for the past two. In 2009 the company recognised that the disparate approaches being adopted with these would be complicated to develop, support and use, and would not differentiate Ammado from its competitors. It set about simplifying and unifying its offerings. The solution was a new approach rather than a reinvention of existing approaches.

As a result, Ammado now offers all customers – companies, not-for-profit organisations and individuals – a single platform for all donation requirements, and a single entry point for donors. Its purpose is twofold: to simplify the donation process, and to simplify companies’ decision and deployment processes for offering donations facilities to their employees.

The company has partnered with the International Red Cross to provide it and its corporate supporters worldwide with a global payroll and direct giving solution.

Donors anywhere in the world will be able to donate to any Red Cross sponsored project and still receive full tax relief, where available, on such donations.
